Aviation Art

Master Outdoor and High Risk Photographer Jim Oltersdorf
Jim Oltersdorf, High Risk Photography. Holding a deep appreciation for the environment, and today as a pilot, he uses airplanes to reach even higher. Highly acclaimed as an aviation photographer/writer for the nation's largest pilot magazines, his photographs are regularly published in a literal "who's who" in magazines throughout the country. His brilliant photography of aviation, birds, mammals, Australia, landscapes and western scenes are breathtaking.

As a graduate of the College of Oceaneering with a certificate in air-mixed gas deep underwater diving, his well rounded talents also take him to the bottom of the ocean. If you appreciate fine photographic art of the natural world... you need to visit his website, and get to know this man Jim Oltersdorf... and his photographs. My absolute highest recommendation as being one of the premier photographers in North America today. (the editor)

American Society of Aviation Artists
The American Society Of Aviation Artists is a non-profit organization founded in 1986. ASAA brings together persons who share a love of art and aviation in an organization that challenges itself to the creation of works that are unique to aviation and aerospace. The five founding members share an average of over 45 years' experience in the field of aviation art. Keith Ferris, Jo Kotula, Bob McCall, R.G. Smith and Ren Wicks have produced some of the most famous and award winning aviation and aerospace paintings in the world. Some of the finest aviation artists in North America are members of this organization. To contact many of the aviation artists individually, click "Our Artists" after you open.

Big Al's Aviation Art
Allan Miranda, original aviation artist. As a self taught artist, he currently has sold artwork (mostly military) to private collections, as well as into museums and television shows. He tries to ensure that the aircraft and elements are technically and historically accurate, yet his paintings show an illustrative and photographic quality, keeping the feel of hand-painted oil on canvas. Sometimes difficult to do, but he creates an overall composition that portrays movement and emotion. Allan Miranda has just been accepted into the American Society of Aviation Artists as an Artist Member (ASAA) A significant artist, and he also does commission work on aviation subjects.

Great Canadian Ecoventures
Great Canadian Ecoventures Wildlife photography expeditions, canoeing, sea kayaking, arctic fishing and much more, in the splendid Northwest Territory and Nunavut, Canada. Virtually unsurpassed in their field of eco-tourism, Great Canadian Ecoventures has a small outstanding group of wilderness guides and bush pilots who have spent many years designing and leading unprecedented adventures to some of the most remote, least explored regions remaining in Canada. Using the very best of modern technology and combining it with two generations of experience and knowledge allows them to present distant travels in safety, style, and with charm. Catch a glimpse of this pristine area with many renowned photographers who have searched and found an unspoiled photographic nature wonderland. If what you desire is observing nature at it unspoiled finest... then this is the place to start.

Paintings by Bill Northup, Crusader Pilot
Paintings of the world famous F-8 Crusader by Bill Northrup. A VERY true-to-life depiction of some of the great pilots flying one of the greatest fighters of all time.
Editorial note: As a former Crusader Driver, I can assure anyone, that the paintings by Bill Northup are as true to life as anyone can imagine. If you have a fascination for remarkable aircraft, one of these paintings should be at the top of your list.
